The iconic number 35 for the Atlanta Braves was worn by Hall of Fame knuckleball pitcher Phil Niekro.
The jersey pictured is a Nike Cooperstown Collection throwback. It replicates the historic 1974 uniform style the team wore. Because Niekro spent nearly two decades baffling hitters with his signature pitch in Atlanta, the franchise officially retired the number 35 in his honor on August 6, 1984. No Atlanta Braves player has worn the number since.
